Pastoral Care

Pastoral care

For 2,000 years the Christian church has reached out to people who need a touch of God's love, especially the vulnerable, housebound and the elderly.

St Paul's continues to uphold this tradition of caring for people in the community, regardless of whether they come to church or not. A trained team regularly visit people in their home or at hospital to offer a listening ear, encouragement, prayer and, importantly, a warm smile.

Members of St Paul's also regularly visit local care homes and sheltered accommodation, offering communion services, hymn singing and special events to mark Christian festivals.

If you'd like to join the pastoral care team, or know someone who'd benefit from a visit, please contact our Visiting Team Coordinator, Linda Catterall, on 01942 237333.
